Howl/Sophie

I'm really starting to like these funky, uncapped/capped titles. They make you think, ya know?

The massive craziness of my life has been beyond anything I've had to go through before. I'll just say the bad stuff first, cause if I say it last, it'll make me feel crappy all over again. Anyway, this is why I haven't been online lately:

For one, my comp (a 3-4 year-old Dell Inspiron) died about a week-and-a-half ago, so I've been using my dad's computer till I get a new one. So those of you who've commented here, on dA, on FF, et cetera, please excuse my absence! Plus, for the icing on the cake, everything I've been working on - my drawings, my stories, all my pics, my songs, my stuff in general - is gone. Completely and totally GONE. Guess what that means? Starting over. From scratch. Just imagine how happy I am about that.

The upside is that I get a new computer; with my own money, of course, but mom said she'll pay part of it cause the dell was crap to begin with. I'm looking at the Dell studio's, but we'll see how it goes.

And secondly, my sister got admitted to the hospital sunday night for acute appendicitis (did I spell that right?). Apparently, she had ruptered her appendix sometime last week, but since none of us have ever had it before, we had no clue what it was. All of us thought it was just the flu. Show's you how smart me and my family are. She had surgery, and she's doing alright now, but it's still really scary to think about. You try to put on a mature face and be as oblivious as you can about the situation, but when a close family member is in the hospital, it makes you think: we are so frail. Our bodies just aren't made for extended living conditions. No one wants to believe that, but it's what makes us human, unfortunately.

I knew I was human sunday night when I saw that tube going up my sis' nose. Those things are so gross looking! Ugh!

Meh, and getting past my melodramatic state, we're on to a few happy things that happened this week.

Soul Eater got a new opening (which is totally awesome, btw. I adored the first one, but this one feel's much more akin to Soul Eater's theme), the first volume of Ouran dub came out (can't wait to get that!), and a guy at work gave me his number even though he's only known me three days. I think that's a new record for me. I don't think I'm going to call him though...not that he's not bad-looking or anything! But what am I supposed to say to a guy I barely see and barely talk to? Honestly, before giving a gal your number, think things through! Besides, there's another guy I'm more interested in anyway... :3

Also, the second season of Code Geass just started here in the states. The first ep is online at adultswim.com (i've already seen it, but for whoever wants to know), and I was extremely excited about it. And interesting tidbit: one of the main characters, Li Xingke, is played by David Vincent - who just happens to be the actor that voiced Grimmjow for the recent Bleach Wii game. Cool, right? Well I thought so.

One good thing about not having a comp right now is I'm not constantly online watching anime, reading manga, and all that extra jazz. It's giving me way more time to finish sketches, do mock-ups of most of my OC's, finish a few games collecting dust in my room, and play Kingdom Hearts again because I haven't played it in a while. ^^

See? It's not as bad as some people, but there's been a lot on my platter lately. I'm trying to keep it all balanced, but it's pretty difficult. Come christmas, I'm gonna be working more often, so that'll be a lot of fun...

Well, I've blabbed enough for one week.

Ouran Hurrah!

"Who knows the cure for insanity?
Do you?
Do you?
Do I?
'Blank' becomes the image of my mind.
'Whisper' it does, like a motionless night.
Forgive me.
I killed you.
I blame you.
Because there is no cure."

One of those lovably random poems I came up with a few days ago. Too gloomy?

I bought a cute little notebook specifically for those occasions that I feel like writing. It's pretty small; around 3'x4', which is really nice cause it fits right in my purse.(I tend to get extremely sporadic moments when I come up with a really good line, then have nowhere to stash it for later, and it turns into the void. I really hate it when that happens). I remembered reading that FMA's mangaka keeps a notebook by her bed in case she gets ideas in the middle of the night and I thought, "What a good idea!" So yeah, that's how that happened.

I was away for a few days (okay, maybe a week) so I could catch up on my japanime~jazz, and then logged back in a few days ago. Then, ta-da! I'm back again today. Yay!

On to the weekly anime/manga rumble (be prepared for uber long-ness)... )Title: Howl's Moving Castle (Book published in 1986, anime movie in 2004)
Animation: A (This movie stood up to it's studio's reputation and gave us amazing work. Some of the scenes are so detailed, you have to wonder just how much CGI is in it.)
Story: A- (Some very small plot holes if you look really closely, but not enough to deter you from an amazing movie.) <3
Characters: A- (Some are lovable - such as the handsome Wizard Howl - and some aren't, and these unlucky characters are very underdeveloped. We're given a few lines for a backstory - and in some cases no back story at all - and that will be it. Thankfully, there's room for the imagination to explore.)
Music: B- (I wouldn't listen to the soundtrack everyday of my life, but there's piano piece on there that is just lovely. Plus, the ending theme is kept in it's original Japanese format and is a great listen.)

There's also the matter of two new animes I've just finished/started: Soul Eater (*pokes [info]hope_assassin  for getting me into this one) and Samurai Champloo. Both are 'wow' worthy in the anime department, no doubt about it. With Soul Eater, I think (and please don't hurt me for this Soul Eater fans!) I have a bit more appreciation for the anime rather than the manga. It tends to beat around the bush sometimes...but maybe that's from sloppy translating, so I won't give a real say about the manga till it comes to the States next year. But oh my gosh! The whole halloween style of Soul Eater totally blew me away. I just adore it. The manga tends to give us directionary angles very few other manga even try to use so the whole look and feel is very different. Even the anime goes a little nuts with the battles, giving us arial head-shots, behind-leg-shots, etc. etc. Overall, very cool stuff. ^^

Samurai Champloo...Haven't finished it yet. Why did I even mention it anyway?

Truly, what's going on in my life other than manga? )
And as of right now, my LJ cuts are screwin with me, so sorry if this post looks weird. Stupid frickin...

Kay, I forgot Bleach plays on Tuesday now. Gotta go! And I'm sorry for that major long journal filled with the rambles of a crazy chick. ^^'</div>

Knight in Armor

Which means 'quiet' in japanese. Something I honest to goodness don't have enough of around here. Hey, I can dream can't I?

Basically, my life's been pretty jumbled lately. I cut back on reading manga but I've started into a few new animes ~

Interested in my life? Read on, sad reader. Read on... )

So if everything goes as planned, next month will be fairly hectic. More sleep is definately in order here.

D.Gray-Man [Whisper of a Soul]

Edward Stupid People

Major spoilers ahead for anyone who hasn't finished the series!!!

Just a random one-shot. I think it's some of my better work in terms of the horror category (not to be self-righteous or anything). Hope someone likes it! (It's also a bit gory, so if you're not into that, sorry. '^^)

D.Gray-Man [Whisper of a Soul]

It feels so strange... )

First you’d feel sad; shocked, even. The one who did the deed – was it someone you loved? If you thought they loved you back, then that’s when you question every motive, every detail, and every scrap of their lives. Were they just using you after all?

The wintry feeling is next; like being in the middle of snowstorm with no jacket, no gear, no way to call for help. Ice covers your veins, your skin, and even your mind turns to snow.

And the cold makes you gag, maybe even spitting up some in your mouth. You feel like that piece of trash in the dumpster that’s always left behind – that no good piece of trash that’s been there for weeks. Your stomach churns, and you probably throw up a little.

Then the pain: oh, that depressing pain. You shudder like a homeless puppy in a storm while your head aches and aches and aches. The ice has burned off now, letting the heat return to your body. But the pain comes, too. It racks at you, wrenching you, twisting you, destroying your every fiber of being.

But is that really all? Is that everything you feel when a lover has killed you?

No.

No, it’s not.

Let’s not forget the soul; the final piece of the equation.

The soul burns. When it knows it’s dying, the soul wants out. When it wants out, the pain is the least of your worries. It starts to whisper to you, begging and pleading to be released from the cage you call a body. While your blood is draining, so is your soul, and that’s the worst feeling anyone can have.

No one could possibly live through that.

Then why was I still breathing? Why was I still conscious? Why were my eyes wide open, beholding the events laid out before me in crystal clear, 20/20 vision?

I’m delusional. That’s the only answer.

But when I looked up, I could still see his eyes – those demonic, hateful eyes. Crimson colors in a whirlpool of black; the infinite darkness stained with blood. How could I ever imagine so much anger?

Even his gentleness, that kind, good person we all used to know – everything had died away in those eyes.

He didn’t even recognize me anymore. While his claws pierced through my stomach, he never showed a hint of sympathy; just pure rage.

Where had he gone? Where had the wonderful person I once loved been taken to?

No, I still loved him. I still felt my heart race whenever I looked at him. But this monster…this monster had taken him from me. Somewhere, in the depths of this beast, was my one and only.

But I would never see him again.

I’d never get that chance.

My soul was nearly gone for good. Not only could I hear it whisper to me, I could feel pieces of it slipping away, little by little. After it said “release me…I need freeeeeeeeedom,” another fragment would fall into the air. What was I supposed to do?

As weak as I was, I couldn’t summon the strength to destroy this monster.

I was still dying

Yet, even if I couldn’t do anything, the others would take care of the rest. They’d finish it for all of us, and my life would never be in vain. I’ll die for their sakes. I believe in them.

If I couldn’t stop Allen, they would.

But why did I have to die in front of his murderous eyes?

They stared at me so coldly. They even made me feel cold. Such disastrous eyes, looking only at me. Why did fate have to be such a cruel adversary?

Well, they did say he’d kill someone he loved.

Maybe I fulfilled a prophecy. Maybe Allen won’t kill anyone else. Maybe everyone else is safe.

Or maybe I’m just fooling myself.

He was still staring at me. His claws were still running through me. I thought I heard screams from down below. Lavi? Kanda? Were they screaming? For me?

Allen’s Noah had risen from the depths of hell to attack us. I was the first to attack. And I’d be the first to die.

I silently pleaded with God – if there even was one – to save Allen’s soul from oblivion. Even if he was a Noah, the Allen we knew didn’t have to suffer for it.

The pain crept into me slowly, quietly. My limbs were completely numb, thank goodness, but my heart was beating out of control. Shreds of cloth came fell my body and dropped weakly to the ground twenty stories below. The light of the moon was on my face and Allen’s as well. Though it was night, I could see everything around me. Blood trickling, hatred pulsing, a tear falling…

A tear?

But who was crying?

My mind had gotten so muddled, so I couldn’t tell for sure…

It wasn’t me. It was the Noah.

The Noah was crying. It was shedding tears right in front of me.

His expression was so passive and so blank, I could’ve easily mistaken the tears for something drab like sweat. Yet, here they were, slowly falling from his eyes like tiny waterfalls. Did demons cry?

It wasn’t a demon anymore. It was Allen. Allen was crying. For me.

Softly, I heard him whisper, “I-I’m…s-sorry.”

Then the Noah returned just as quickly as it had left. The tears dried up, and the overbearing claws retracted from my abdomen.

Gravity pulled me to the ground and wind whistled past my ears. While I fell, I couldn’t help but ask: what was that just now? How had Allen cried to me, spoken to me? How had he been able to come back?

His soul?

It was possible, wasn’t it?

So, then that meant his soul was truly saved…

I smiled. For the first time in a long time, I smiled. Allen’s soul was saved…

And that was enough for me.

No one in this whole world knows just how happy I am to be home. No. One. Knows.

Was it a vacation or a horror flick? )

On to the usual rabble...

I read the newest chapter of Fullmetal Alchemist a little while ago...

THEY'RE COMING OUT WITH A SECOND ANIME!!!!! WHEEEEE!!!!

Yes, you can just imagine how happy that made me. <3

Plus they're officially coming out with Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the PS2 here in the states. How cool is that?!

I'll post pictures sometime soon, but maybe on my dA acount instead of this one. Laterz.

Tonight, by 6:00 PM, I shall be in the wonderously HOT state of Florida. If all goes well, of course. That stupid hurricane might just ruin my whole vacation....I sure as hell know I won't be in Disney World as much as we'd planned.

Well, at least it'll give me more time to write and draw. My dad will have my (poor) computer the majority of the time to do his homework (his computer conveniently broke recently and his internet's down) so I won't have time to watch anime, read the latest manga, or work on the general obsessions of an otaku. Therefore, I bought a small sketchbook to mess with most of the week, since it'll probably be raining the whole time anyway. (Hey! It gets me outta wearing that freaky swimsuit mom just bought me! XD )

So, wish me luck! I won't return till next Saturday night, or Sunday if our flight gets delayed. Sydney, signing off.

(Oh! And one last thing! The newest Bleach chapter has renewed my love! Shuhei's shikai: Kazeshini (Wind Death)! Plus, the fillers are over in a week. Yay!!!!)

D.Gray-Man [Autumn Chorus]

Oh, wow. Two journals in one day? There must be something wrong with me.

This one-shot came up completely out of nowhere. Even some of the things that happen in it are a bit random. But since it's mine, I love it; especially Lavi. It started a bit Kanda-centric, but that was a total accident. It's still a bit Kanda-centric, but I've toned it down a bit. I hope someone likes this! Remember now, there's no exorcist anything in this one-shot; just four friends hanging together. That may sound a bit boring, but give it a chance, okay? It's possible to put this story into a "real world" setting, but it can be put in the manga too. No major spoilers either.

Here goes...

D.Gray-Man [Autumn Chorus]

Who has the power to hold the whole world in their palm at once? )

“Hey, Kanda! Wanna play cards?”

It was such an innocent day, such a no-nonsense day. Everything was just perfect; a cool breeze, fresh air, and the grand outdoors. Nothing could go wrong.

“Bakanda! I’m talking to you!”

Except that.

Kanda sighed. If only he could go back to sleep. Sleep was where peace was; sleep was quiet, uneventful, boring. Sleep was his only protection against his moronic comrades.

Balancing his weight on the hammock, Kanda sat upright and kicked his bare feet over the edge. The ground below felt soft on his skin, and the long black threads of his hair flew with the wind. Even the sun felt warmer than usual that autumn day, but these delightful gifts from Mother Nature couldn’t rescue Kanda from the persistent Lavi.

The redhead stuck his nose two inches from Kanda’s face, and when the ninja finally opened his tired eyes, the hammock flew.

“Gah!” Kanda wound up limb over limb, his chin buried in dirt and his ego infinitely bruised. Of course, Lavi ended up on the ground too, laughing loud enough for alternate realities to hear.

“Haha! Oh, jeez, no more Kanda! Hehe!”

“Um, Lavi? What’d you do to Kanda?”

Done with his laughing fit, Lavi’s eyes welled up in a puppy pout. “Allen! You can’t just assume it’s my fault.” Kneeling under the hammock and pointing at Kanda’s dizzy expression, he said, “Look at the poor guy! He’s gone crazy from lack of speech. Someone get a doctor!”

Unfortunately for Lavi, he was about a foot too close to the disaster zone. Kanda grabbed a fistful of scarf and dragged the redhead off the ground, blistering hate in his eyes. “I. Will. Kill. You!”

“Agh! Help me!”

“Come on guys, we’re here to relax! Let’s not start by choking each other,” called Lenalee. She squeezed the small blue coat her brother had given her, and started laying out the food. Allen, a few feet away, shook out the picnic blanket before setting it on the grassy mound. Brown and crimson colored leaves escaped the neighboring trees, only to settle on top of the blanket. Lenalee smiled as Allen tried desperately to get rid of them, but after the first few were gone, even more flew down to him. One got stuck in his pale gray hair. It was definitely a losing battle.

“Yeah, Yuu, you heard the lady,” said Lavi.

“What’d I tell you about calling me by my first name, redheaded sprite?!” yelled Kanda, tightening his grip on Lavi’s custom scarf. This time Lavi wasn’t fazed.

“Okay, seriously, let go now. I’m starving!” he said, grinning ear to ear. Kanda heaved a heavy breath and dropped the blissful Lavi, but he was still ticked. He wiped away the crumbled dust on his black sweater – which was faintly brown now – and tied back his waist-length hair. On top of getting woken by the worst alarm clock in history, he was still tired.

“What do we have?” asked Lavi as he plopped down. Allen was still trying to fend off the leaves, and Lenalee had organized a small buffet of edible snacks at the center of the blanket.

“Mostly sushi and truffles,” she said, gesturing at the train of food, “but brother made us a few cookies, too.” Reaching into the wicker basket, Lenalee grabbed the last bit of sweets – a plate of steaming, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Lavi’s eyes popped out of his head.

“Gimme!”

“Wait your turn, Lavi!” yelled Lenalee. She covered the plate with a napkin to keep the bugs away, and set it on the opposite side of Lavi, next to Allen. “Honestly, you and food are not a good combination. Dessert is for last, remember?”

“Then why’s Allen eating them?”

“Huh?” She turned her head in Allen’s direction, and even though he had been fighting leaves a second ago, he had mischievously stolen the largest cookie in the bunch. He was munching in complete bliss.

“Allen!”

“Allen’s not here right now,” he sputtered through chocolate crumbs.

“Soooo…that means I get one now, right?” said Lavi. His arm reached toward the cookies but Lenalee smacked it before he could get to them. “Ow! Lenalee! Why’d you do that?”

“Serves you right, Lavi,” she said.

“Come on! Just one?”

Amidst the sugar-obsessed lunacy, Kanda took the last corner of the blanket for himself. Folding his legs comfortably together, he decided to not to intrude on this little party. After all, morons were always safer when watched from afar.

Kanda loosened the faded blue scarf around his neck and poked his index finger through a small hole in his jeans. Smooth skin was underneath, toned from years of training. He twisted one of the material’s loose strings around his finger and ripped it out. After untangling it, the string blew into the air, marking the beginning of its journey. I’ll have to fix that hole soon, he thought.

Even then, the gang was still fighting over sweets, so Kanda decided to make up for lost time. He sat back on his tailbone, his legs pulled up to his chest, and his arms wrapped around them. He closed his eyes, inhaled deeply, and meditated.

Allen Walker – the exchange student from Britain; strong willed, considerate, bean sprout.

Lavi – the kid with no last name and no history; quick-witted, annoying, dyed hair.

Lenalee Lee – a woman wasting her time with idiots; gentle, smart, and wasting her time with idiots.

“Che,” he mumbled.

Was that really all he could think of? Surely there were more insults than that. Kanda prided himself on having such a large vocabulary. I’m being too kind, he thought. Maybe I can think of more if I look at them…

So he opened his eyes.

And there was Lavi.

“Bakanda, don’t space out on us like that!”

“Whoa!” And Kanda flew backwards for the second time that day – that hour, in fact.

Lenalee’s motherly instinct kicked in and she rushed to the ninja’s side. “Lavi! How many times are you planning on scaring Kanda today?”

“Oh, about half a dozen, I’d say.”

After his eyes rolled around a few times, Kanda finally came too. “Dammit, you stupid little…!”

“Oh crap!”

Off they went, scrambling after each other like a house cat and the resident mouse. Grunts and laughter ensued as they used every trick in the book to capture or escape from each other. While they ran, the dark green bandana wrapped around Lavi’s head flew off. Neither of them seemed to notice, but Allen did. In his cozy little mind, now covered in chocolate from that last cookie, he imagined the little bandana growing wings. It certainly looked like it was flying. Reality upset his daydream as the small bundle of cloth disappeared over the hill.

“I wonder if I should go get it,” Allen said under his breath.

“I’ll come with you, if you like,” said Lenalee.

“No, that’s alright. Lavi will notice sooner or later.”

“Heh, yeah.” After popping a rice ball in her mouth, Lenalee reached up and pulled out her two hair bands, letting her black hair come tumbling down. “Do you think they’ll ever stop?”

“Those two?” asked Allen, pointing towards Lavi and Kanda. The redhead had very curiously managed to get himself halfway up the tree the hammock was tied to, and the ninja was threatening him from below. “I doubt it - they always fight. We know they’re not exactly the best of friends.”

“Neither are Kanda and you.”

“Well, no, I guess not.”

“But we still hang out together, right?”

“Yeah, of course,” said Allen.

Lenalee smiled as she spoke, “I think, somewhere deep inside Kanda, he really truly cares for us. He may not show it, but he’s happy to have friends. You think so?”

“Y-yeah.” I don’t understand where you’re going with this, Lenalee.

“Good.” She smiled at Allen, and he smiled back – albeit still confused. Sometimes, it was hard for Allen to understand what Lenalee’s words meant; especially if it was something out of the blue. But, as a good friend should, he listened to her. He listened carefully, because he wanted her to be happy. Wouldn’t anyone want their best friends to be happy?

“Look!” shouted Lenalee. “The sunset’s getting ready to start!”

“Ow!”

“Eh, Lavi?” said Allen. The bumped and bruised redhead had crashed onto his side, nearly missing the food and basket. He was grabbing his arm but nothing seemed to be broken. He pushed away a lock of crimson hair with his free hand and grinned.

“Kanda’s a bit tough, ain’t he?” Lavi said through gritted teeth.

A serene Kanda sauntered over to the group, adjusting his scarf. A new hole had appeared, not in his jeans, but in his sweater. Calmly – and completely serious – he said, “You’re gonna pay for that, kid.”

Lavi gave an exasperated thumbs up. “Can do, Bakanda! Ye-ow!”

“QUIT CALLING ME THAT!!”

“Come on you two, come sit with us!” said Lenalee. She scooted farther over to leave room for Kanda and Lavi on the blanket, and sat next to Allen. Kanda, being the unloving creature that he was, sat furthest away on the edge of the grass. Still bandana-less and licking his wounds, Lavi took the middle.

Together, the four of them spread their limbs over the checkerboard blanket, relaxing to the best of their ability. A light wind was still blowing over their faces, creating whistling sounds for their ears to enjoy. Autumn leaves swept by in all different colors, casting their brilliance into the sky, and being surpassed by the vast sunset. Oranges of sparkling hues and reds from the darkest of crimson painted the horizon. The North Star made a guest appearance, peaking out from behind a cloud.

Lenalee sighed at the beauty. She’d planned this outing for the four of them a long while ago. She remembered how hesitant Kanda had been, while Lavi and Allen were all for it. She remembered preparing all the food. And she remembered wishing so badly for a wonderful sunset.

She’d gotten her wish.

It made her so happy. Just being there with her friends – that was all anyone could ask for.

Trying to get into a more comfortable position, Lenalee stretched her arms out behind her. Just as she was leaning back, she felt someone’s fingers on hers. On her left side…

Allen.

She didn’t look down. It’d only embarrass him. Her cheeks felt hot as she quietly laced her hand around his. He did the same.

Who has the power to hold the whole world in their palm at once?

Someone grabbed her other hand.

Lavi?

Butterflies rose in her stomach. Lenalee was so confused.

“Enjoy this, guys,” started Lavi. His hand fell on top of hers while Allen’s fingers tightened. “This is a special moment, for all of us. Let’s not waste it.”

“Let go of me,” grunted Kanda.

“Jeez, way to ruin it,” said Lavi.

“Che.”

“He’s right,” Lenalee said. Hesitantly she took Lavi’s hand in hers. “We shouldn’t waste a special moment like this. How often do we get to do this, anyway?”

To possess eternity, possess love, perfect balance?

Allen and Lavi nodded. Kanda ignored them, propping his head on his folded knees. This was just another ordinary sunset to him. Being with people didn’t make it any different. At least, that’s what he kept telling himself.

"This is so perfect," mumbled Allen. Lenalee smiled, forcing away her blush. She felt Lavi squeeze her hand even harder...

Then let go.

He took his hand away from hers, only to cross his arms a few seconds later. "It is," he said.

Lenalee didn't dare look up. Lavi, why did you...?

But Lenalee couldn't think, because Allen was still holding her hand.

Now, forevermore, it was possible.

~/~

Hope that was to someone's liking! That last bit (the italics) was a poem I made up just for this story. And I like the Allen/Lena pairing, but I added Lavi in just for fans of that pairing. Like I said, just a cute little one-shot.

And for those who don't know, 'Bakanda' was a nickname Allen gave Kanda. Basically, it means 'stupid Kanda'.

Here's a pic of all four of the characters together. I think it might be fanart, but who can tell these days?

Thank you for reading! ^-^

The past four or five days have been filled with nothing but D.Gray-Man for me. I'd never even heard of it till last...summer, I think? Anyway, I've been hooked. Again. I am such a sucker for mangas - haven't figured out if that's a good thing yet. XD

The manga has a bit of a "used" storyline. In other words, there are some small elements in there that we've all seen before (aka, caring/passionate/determined good guy, little creature/sidekick-thingy, etc.) which makes it a little unoriginal. But the story is what makes it an addicting read, and the bad guys are impressive characters. The only complaint I have is some things aren't explained thoroughly, but I can forgive the mangaka for that. ^-^

Lavi (see cutesy avy) is another one of those prank-type characters from this amazing series. His spiky red hair and distinct appearance stood out from the rest of the cast, making him my favorite right away (I think I'm a sucker for redheads too; Renji, Kyo, Axel, Lavi...the list could go on). Lavi's current occupation is apprenticing to be a Bookman - someone who stands on the sidelines, emotionless, and records unwritten history. Of course, an emotionless character is freakishly hard to grow attached to (Ulqui doesn't count). He swears up and down to his master that his smiles are fake, but even then, Lavi develops caring friendships throughout the story. I won't give away too much, but just know that he's a very sweet character. And funny to boot!

He's also played by Kenichi Suzumura, the seiyuu who voices Hikaru (Ouran), Zack Fair (Final Fantasy VII), and Demyx (Kingdom Hearts II) which just adds to his sparked personality.

Well, on to the actual point of this post: I'm in need of a model. No, not an actual person, but a picture. I'd like to do a still-life of Lavi but I'd prefer to have a model reference. I'm in the process of doing an Ulquiorra still (found here) which didn't have a ref, so I want to do Lavi's with a picture to look at. The guy (or girl, I'm not biased, lol) has to be fairly handsome with that small dash of bishounen in there. I'd prefer he be smiling, but oh well. If you or your friends happen to find a good-looking dude somewhere on the internet and you think he looks like this, then help a girl out! Thanks ever so much! <3

Tis that lovely meme time again! Hopefully this'll be better than my fatal attempt to make a meme a few posts ago. Got this from the lovely

[info]hope_assassin.

Five people tagged are

[info]2foxxie4u (if she's gotten her LJ page up and running yet) and [info]crimsonspiral. Also, a few folks on my dA acount.

Btw, anyone else realized that they've started on Iron Man 2? I question the next one's story...will it be able to top the first one? Very possible, but also very impossible. Guess we'll all just have to sit back in our theater chairs and wait.

I have a sudden obsession with the adorable Hitachiin twins. I rewatched a few episodes of Ouran recently, and fell in love with their characters all over again. And I know the incest thing is just an act, but I'm not into that kinda stuff....AND THEY MAKE IT SO CUTE!!! Anyway, even though I will never support the Hikaru/Kaoru pairing, those two will forever remain favorites of mine. Go twins!

Just wanted to make a quick announcment that I probably won't be able to post, write, or anything related to those things for a while. My computer's in the shop, and I'm hoping to get a new one soon.

Anyway, just a quickie: I'm obsolete for awhile. Sorry!

So...in conclusion to my little rant....
NO TOUCHIE COMPUTER!!!!!!!

*pant**pant*
Alright...I'm done...but you understand my frustration, right? I already did a good size back-up on all my sacred stuff, but that's just not good enough for me. I don't want to have to buy a new computer again.

Anyway, on to more important stuff (i think).

I've been reading/watching a good amount of awesome manga/anime lately, i.e., Vampire Knight and Ouran High School Host Club. I've posted banners for both of them so which one do you think looks better? Both are in the romance category, but the first is much more sci-fi-ish than the second (in other words, more my style). Don't get me wrong though, they both have me hooked. :3

Pros and Cons: Vampire Knight makes more sense storywise, but one of the character's falls in love with her brother and I'm really not into that kinda stuff (but we don't know if it's her real brother, so shh!!). Ouran High can get very crazy at times and sometimes completely illogical, but the story is one we can all relate to in one way or another.

Random fact: Tamaki and Zero are voiced by Mamoru Miyano, Light Yagami's seiyu from Death Note. See? Random. XD

If I forgot anything, remind me please!

Random, I think.

I went to go see "The Dark Night" yesterday, and was very surprised at how much I fell in love with it. The last movie had much more hero-ness, and Christian Bale got a ton of screen time. However, with  this one, Heath Ledger's Joker version got major attention. That was probably the coolest take on the character I've ever seen. Ledger did an absolutely amazing job with the character; especially that laugh. I mean seriously, who else could pull that off, huh? You tell me.

Another random bit is me wondering what fic to post on lj next. I have several to choose from, but two aren't finished, one of those two needs horrendous revamping, another one is still in progress, and another is my personal fiction that needs revamped as well. Agh! Does it never end?!

Well, that was weird of me. Let's just hope someone else does this meme, or I'll be hopelessly alone. D:

I've been tagged by my good e-sister [info]hope_assassinwith this meme. It says to tag seven people here on LJ, but since I don't know that many people on lj yet, I'm tagging some friends on deviantart as well. Link to my journal: http://twilitshadow.deviantart.com/journal/19424002/

Yup, all that is true. Lucky me! The first time I did this meme, I made myself out like a total witch. I admit, I’m a bit of a pessimist when it comes to certain things, but I have as much fun as possible in the real world.

Another thing I wanted to add to the list, but didn’t have room for, is my OCD syndrome. I obsess over the smallest things, especially when it comes to animes and mangas. Very bad habit of mine, lol.

I tag

[info]crimsonspiral here on LJ, and on deviantart I tag 2Foxxie4U, Pure-Beats~, talktome, and Meaningful/Stitchedinmack. Do the meme, fools!

As a small footer, the Lelouch icon I'm using is credited to [info]firestormfairy

I've been working on this particular story for about two weeks. At first I only had the beginning paragraphs done, but a few days ago I wrote the rest within a few hours. I was pretty proud of myself. *beams*

This is based loosely on a picture by the artist RAE at offrecord.net . Grimm and Hime are in the middle of a rainstorm with Orihime holding an umbrella, and Grimm holding a kitten. This is my take on that picture. It was sooo cute, so the story was born almost immediately.

Anyway, there's probably a lot of stuff in it I'll scrap later because I might've made Grimm a bit too OOC. It also sounded a little bunched together, so I might change that later too. But it is very Grimmhime-centric so please enjoy!

Panther Blues

I hope its as good as it was when I read it. XD
Personally, I never liked the "Grimm" nickname that Orihime gave him, but it grew on me. :3

Comment for me!

Whoo! Always wanted to actually FINISH one of these. XD

Anyway, this one came straight from my bud

[info]hope_assassin, who got hers from her friend.

So ta-dah! Some of the text got screwed, so happy translating!

Anyway, yeah, there's my love affair for the night. And I got it posted by three! Goal met!

Okay, gonna watch Bleach, then finish that Grimm story....*yawn*

This was actually a very fun drabble to do. And even though it's my shortest story by far, I think it's my most mature one.

Anyway, it's about the newest FF character, whom most everyone is calling "Storm". I liked that name, so I used it. Go figure.

Somnus actually means sleep in latin, so I thought it was a good title. Plus, that fact that the Versus trailer's music (by Miss Yoko Shimamura) is called somnus. If you ever get a chance, look it up. It's a great listen.

Orignally posted on fanfiction.net, here's my short drabble for Grimmjow, my favorite character and yours (you know you love him!).

Anyway, just a few light revisions from the original, but I thought it'd be a good start for my first LJ story. But, if you haven't read up to the "big fight" in eps. 165-167, don't read this. Spoilers abound if you do.

(Faint Grimmhime, Rated T for some light language and blood)

Well, without further ado, the formerly tited [GRAVITY], I give you...Grimmy!

FALLEN DEMON~

So please leave a comment, if you'd like. I always appreciate feedback!

...As in number 1 entry. Yup, my first LJ acount (okay, I lied. My second). And guess what? Me ish confused already.

Alright, enough of that talk. Sooner or later, I'll have stories, pictures, the whole nine yards posted on this site. I can't wait to get going!

For right now, I have these two links. twilitshadow.deviantart.com and fanfiction.net/~essence007. Those are my current sites, though I'm working on both of them. If you'd like to know me, friend me or e-mail me. Later!
